DLT Registration

Select any of the telecom operator DLT platforms for registration:

• BSNL DLT: https://www.ucc-bsnl.co.in/

Click on ‘Sign Up’ and choose Principal Entity Registration (for businesses).

Fill in the required details, including:

• - Company Name
• - Business Type (Proprietor, Partnership, Pvt Ltd, etc.)
• - Contact Information (Mobile & Email)
• - Authorized Signatory Details

Upload the following documents:

• - Identity Proof: PAN Card
• - Address Proof: Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License
• - Business Proof: GST Certificate, Incorporation Certificate, or Trade License

The telecom operator will verify your details. Once approved, you will receive a Unique Entity ID via email.

Your Sender ID (Header) is the unique identifier for your messages:

• - Transactional SMS Headers: Must be 6 alphabetic characters (e.g., BANKIN, ALERTS).
• - Promotional SMS Headers: Must be 6 numeric digits (e.g., 558432, 987654).
• - Service SMS Headers: Can be alphabetic or numeric, depending on the use case.

Log in to your DLT panel → Add Header → Submit for approval.

Every SMS you send must be pre-approved by the DLT platform:

• - Transactional Messages: OTPs, account updates, etc.
• - Promotional Messages: Offers, sales, advertisements.
• - Service Messages: Booking confirmations, delivery updates.

Use variables {#var#} in templates to personalize messages (e.g., "Dear {#var#}, your order {#var#} is shipped.").

Once your Entity ID, Headers, and Templates are approved, you can send DLT-compliant Bulk SMS through BulkSMS.ca.

Is DLT Registration Free?

• - Vodafone Idea: ₹5900 (One-time fee)

NOTE: Prices may vary based on TRAI updates.

Approval typically takes 3-5 working days. Ensure your documents are correct for faster processing.

No, as per TRAI regulations, unregistered entities cannot send Bulk SMS.

Yes! Once registered on one DLT platform, you can use the same Entity ID on others.

If your application is rejected, you will receive an email with the reason. Correct the issue and reapply.

No, DLT is only required for Bulk SMS. You can use BulkSMS.ca for WhatsApp & Voice Call marketing without DLT.

Yes! Even OTP messages must be DLT-approved.
